- Low-level enemity with Kamenosuke. Kamenosuke was their mother's favourite. Nakamori resented it. Recently this has flared up when Kamenosuke was given Kameko's wakizashi as a gempukku present. Nakamori has her katana and is bitter that both are not his.

Family Estate
- Run by hatamoto who takes care of all the day-to-day matters. Cousin of Gennai.
- Estates are fairly rich and profitable but most of the earnings and produce are sent on to Gennai's lord.
- In addition to growing rice, the estate also does good business farming silk worms and making silk.
