June2005Hellsing, FotAQ4 June 2005 We're currently in the process of attempting to purchase a flat which has made the last week pretty frantic. Despite numerous morning meetings with and phone calls to estate agents, banks, life insurance people and bond brokers work was quite productive - I suspect because thinking about anything other than work was too stressful. :) Last Friday Confluence had her wisdom teeth (all 3 of them) extracted. It seems the ice pack and arnica helped alot because the swelling was gone by the end of Monday and now the brusing has disappeared too. The same Friday I acquired a new pair of leather combat boots with steel toe-caps (not that exciting looks-wise but good for walking around in and probably also for kicking people where it hurts). Wednesday's Cthulhu saw our 4 white investigators narrowly avoiding being mob bed in 1920s Harlem. On the upside it looks like we've managed to get one of the cult leaders arrested on assualt charges. Quite a few evening recently were spent playing Flight of the Amazon Queen which we have now completed. Hooray for ScummVM. Have started on Beneath a Steel Sky but haven't really gotten into it yet. Last night we watched Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence and the Hellsing series. GitS2 suffered from atrocious sub-titling but was very shiny. Perhaps we will find a more coherent version to watch at some stage. Hellsing was awesome [1]?. In other news my Kings of Chaos rank has dropped below 20 000. Woot. p.s. I have acquired the L5R GMG. We have also acquired a preemptive housewarming gift, in the form of an uber-shiny Hellboy poster, from P and J. |
