Kirstenbosch, Jogging and Dad

4 January 2007

My dad and Margi are down from Gauteng so I took the day off to spend time with them. We wombled around Kirstenbosch (looking in at the art gallery, smelling the scent garden, reading things in the endangered plants garden) and got some lunch from the self-service restuarant. After lunch they started the long drive back home and are currently ensconced somewhere in Oudtshoorn. In the evening I went jogging in the hopes of increasing my fitness levels before Sunday's frisbee game.

The day was somewhat saddened by my Dad's dog, Splat, being run over near their house is Joburg. She is currently at the vet under observation and will either be operated on tomorrow or put down if there is severe nerve damage. I think this is the third time Splat has been run over. :/

Yesterday was our beginning of year company meeting where we discussed what we're going to be doing over the next six months. It was a fairly long day but it ended with us getting our car back (although conservation of working cars dictated that David's car then overheated) and watching Hogfather at Reuel's.

This evening I got around to starting a Flickr group with pictures from New Year's Eve and made a personal flickr account in process. Then we watched the latest three episodes of Heroes. ---- (:commentboxchrono:)
